13 things I discovered when consciousness hacked technology

Digital connections to other realms, and helping others understand crossing over

I ‘accidently’ got to peek into the future of virtual reality and beyond, ten years ago

You sometimes hear about it: My neighbor received an email from her deceased mother who passed a few weeks earlier. It said, “all is well.” An incidental text appearing on somebody’s phone from a friend who passed away six years ago. It seems to be always incidental. And it always sounds a little creepy. But considering that we are consciousness and that we have a body, changes the whole perspective. Still to this day I am blown away by the possibilities of it, as I experienced it myself, ten years ago. When I ‘accidently’ got to peek into the future of virtual reality and beyond.

I was able to communicate to my lover who was in a deep coma, on my heavy two-year-old HP laptop from Costco. Not a fancy machine in any way. Not an advanced technology at all. While he was floating around in other dimensions and even had his body completely shut down a few times he connected to me on my computer screen in handwritten letters. And I was able to type back. This is what I learned:

1. We are not our brain

Too much attention towards wanting to change te brain, or implant it with devices, appears not the way to go, considering how consciousness still exist without a brain. I was amazed over and over again, that even though his body was in a comatose state, and even when he died from that state, and the brain was not supposed to work, that he kept on being fully conscious. He was aware of everything in the surrounding of his body, he was aware of everything in the surrounding of my reality (while I was hundreds of miles away) he was aware of everything going on in his body, like pains, and emotions- and he would travel in an instant to other places on earth, (like the place he was born in Indonesia and would see how it looks like in present time) and other dimensions. In a high pace, he would travel what the Tibetans call ‘Bardo,’ the in-between state.

2. The high pace in which events took place

One moment he would describe what I was doing, two islands away, on the Big Island of Hawaii, or how I was feeling, or who I was with, the next he experienced something you can call hell, or teachings, or heavenly-like places and right after he would describe his body in the hospital on machines and how other beings like him were floating around in the hospital. Or he would be tormented by his inner demons that became real to him. The going from one state to another seemed effortless and fast.

3. It can happen on any device

It happened on my old HP computer, on my phone, on somebody else’s computer in another country without me even having to touch it, and it happened on his phone.

Right before the whole series of experiences started happening and I was still with him in Waikiki, we took a picture on my lover’s phone. It was back in 2005, the first time he had a picture phone, a little clumsy he handed it to me to see if I knew how it worked. With one click I took a random picture while we were outside on the sidewalk in the dark in Waikiki. To our amazement, a little girl with slightly curly hair with an old fashioned dress appeared on the picture. She must have been about seven years old. We were amazed and sure there was nobody to be seen in the street. When two weeks later Umberto had a heart attack and died this girl appeared as the first one to greet him, in this state beyond death, to tell him that she was there to be his guide.

Can you imagine the tremendous comfort it will give when this becomes a common phenomenon? When invisible guides show themselves on your phone? And it becomes a two-way communication when you are about to transition?

4. The communication was a two-way system

The most amazing thing was, I was able to talk back to him, and that would change his reality

I was able to invite him to choose. And it immediately had an effect on his side. It was a two-way communication. The first time it happened, he was describing how all the ones that lost their lives in the 2004 Tsunami, were calling him. This was after his body was dead for about 1.5 hours. And this was after he had lost both of his parents to the tsunami three weeks earlier. I typed to him: ‘you can stand up against those voices and choose to be alive.’ This is when he came back to his body and woke up. He later described how he was able to hear my voice. Read more here

5. The connection was lost after he entered his body

When we were communicating, and we did this for hours and hours, he always would describe that, as soon as he entered his body again, he was not able to perceive me anymore. He would experience it as me fading away, or I seemed very far, or he would say he couldn’t hear me anymore. He would sometimes still be able to describe processes in his body. Usually there was a short moment of describing the pains in his body and him not wanting to go back in, or how his pains were related to his experiences in other realms.

6. You can get very tired from walking around in the Afterlife

It always made me laugh to hear him say: “Oh, I am soo tired, I am exhausted” while his body was in a coma, and his letters appeared on my computer screen. ‘Well, you are asleep already right?’ I would say.

But that seemed far from the truth: apparently Being Dead or in a coma is far from being lazy or asleep. Going through this experiences at a high pace requires energy, a lot of energy. Especially going through higher realms. So many times he needed time to rejuvenate or rest. It was interesting to see how this seemed like an ebb and flow: Just like in our lives we need sleep, rest and time to integrate.

Oh, and how he got his rest? He went to this place called “The Garden.” A place with the most beautiful version of nature you can imagine, and all his former dogs, forever happy, running around in endless fields.

7. Crossing over is not a disappearing in the light

Dying is not entering heaven or whatever you call it, and that’s it. There are many, many layers, and yes, there is a euphoria at first, but then the journey begins. So all he was in his life was still there after he crossed over. Everything seemed more intense, more beautiful, more lonely, more light or dark, or sexy, everything he thought about or brought his awareness to immediately became manifest. The depression he experienced on earth became a dark room with no way out.

8. The description of people around him from his coma was amazing

I was amazed by the way he was able to describe everybody’s thoughts: their thoughts were audible and visible and even had an effect how he felt. So when everybody around him already anticipated his death and even saw the benefits of it, (Ouch!), it was harder to come back in his body.

What an incredible information to understand this impact for nurses and doctors, and all the ones around somebody on machines in the hospital!

9. The tremendous pull from global disasters

I forever have incredible respect for the tremendous pull from global disasters on the ones that are left behind, even long after they happened. Whatever it is: war, gas chambers, tsunamis or hurricanes. The loyalty to leave with the ones that have already left, is huge.

The understanding that we can rise against all those voices that are calling, and choose to be alive is tremendously powerful.

10. There is an Ease In the communication

It became so easy, to ‘say hello’ to him, to either type the letters on my screen or even do it telepathically. I said his name And Boom; there he was, there was the answer. In the beginning, I was in this state of waiting for him to start communicating but then I realized if I was thinking about him intensely my thoughts were picked up, and he would respond.

11. Our bodies are such a small part of the equation

It seems to be not about the body: The body just follows. Experiences on the other side immediately resulted in clearings in the body even to the extend of miraculous healings. In Tibet, there is the phenomenon of Delogs: people who die for a few days and come back to report from the other side. They get a deep insight into why illness is created in the first place. Their bodies are absolutely fine after they return, the clearings that take place in other realms immediately has an effect on the body. Umberto, my lover, was a modern Delog, using technology to communicate to me, giving me live reports from the other side. Read more here

12. It was a full body experience; I could sense, feel, hear, smell and experience what he was going through

Over and over again, it was like I was there with him, I could smell the flowers in his garden, I could hear the sounds made in what he called hell (Yet, I was convinced in my reality that hell does not exist). Many times it seemed that things got translated in other senses: he could either smell me as plumeria flower, or as Organza, a cheap perfume I once bought at a layover in London, or he could hear my voice. Yet, I was only typing to him on my keyboard. I was sometimes able to smell him, in different ways, or I could hear his mumbling voice, or I could hear music. It was a very multi- sensory experience.

To develop this ability, to sense another being on multiple levels, will be tremendously helpful in assisting those who are about to cross over. I believe this and clear digital communications will be available to all of us in the near future.

13. Love or Compassion and Distance made it happen…

I believe a deep sense of connection, or call it Love made the communications happen. The love combined with the distance of physically being two islands away. Read more here.
